Experiences
Meaningful travel is far beyond visiting places’. Travel becomes transformational when you go beneath the surface and inquisitively search for moments that change you forever. With Luxury Hideaways it is possible to dive deep into natural and cultural facets of a locality.
SANDBANK
Sandbanks are ideal to relax in your own world. Mornings are the best time of the day when the sun has not turned harsh yet. Just keep in mind that sandbanks tend to disappear during high tides only to reemerge during low tides. So ask hotels to arrange a trip so you know a sandbank is visible.
SALALAH'S EARTHY FLAVOUR
This quaint fishing town allows you to quietly soak up the sun’s rays on the pristine Arabian coastal beach, and also engage in hiking and walking along trails that help explore the wild side of Oman. The annual monsoon rains transform the desert into lush greenery and a collection of waterfalls. The Frankincense Road (on the UNESCO World Heritage List) opens itself to a world of rich cultural history, including glimpses into the ancient settlements of Sumaharam, Wadi Dawkah and Al Balid. The heritage of Frankincense can be felt in visits to farms. Wadi Darbat Reserve is picturesque and a boat/kayak ride or a walking trail allows you to explore caves, natural springs and more. The lake has some of the best turquoise rock pools.
