If being in a remote location is your idea of a holiday, then look no further than Laamu Atoll, one of the least developed regions. The lush vegetation and palm-fringed beaches offer a mix of ocean blue and pristine green surroundings that are great for quiet reflections and peaceful rest. The Six Senses Laamu is excellent for marine life as they collaborate with a range of facilitators like the Manta Trust, Blue Marine Foundation and Olive Ridley Project.

As at any destination, a visit to the Maldives will not be complete without seeing, understanding and appreciating local life. “Local Islands” as they are called are the natural abode of local Maldivians. The islands provide fantastic insight into the Maldivian way of life including visits to local schools or excursions with fisherfolk.
